Four.ti.fy Crème Conditioner

The Four.ti.fy Crème Conditioner can be used in four main ways: pH Balancing Pretreatment, Detangling Cowash, Humectant Rich Deep Conditioning, and Texturizing Leave in Balm by Stafford Singleton

The Four.ti.fy Crème Conditioner can be used in four main ways:

pH Balancing Pretreatment

  • This product came used to treat severe dryness prior to Wash Day. For extremely dry color treated hair or hair that needs to be treated post a protective style, Mane Strategy recommends that you part your hair in 4 – 6 sections and apply the product liberally to each section focusing on the most damaged areas. For those dealing with a flaky scalp, pouring some of the product into a sterile container and adding about 1 Tablespoon of sugar to it will do the trick!  Stir both the conditioner and sugar together until the sugar is evenly distributed.  Section the hair as listed above.  Apply to the scalp using a cotton ball or a damp cloth using circular motions.

With both methods, place a cap on the head and either: allow your body heat to activate and distribute the product throughout the head, or you can sit under a low dryer –  but only up to 10 minutes for both.  Follow with your favorite Shampoo and Conditioner and ALWAYS remember to use a leave in conditioner prior to styling.  I recommend if you use this product for your pretreatment, go with another product (one that is lighter) as your leave in choice.

Detangling Cowash

  • For those curly girls that love a great hydrating cowash product, you can use this product in the same manner. It will provide “great slip” as you continue to promote moisture throughout your wash day process.

Humectant Rich Deep Conditioning

  • From time to time as environmental factors affect our diets and skin, it can also affect our hair. Deep conditioning is a must for those on the natural hair journey. This product can be perfectly coupled with your favorite go-to shampoo and its humectant (water loving) properties will make this a staple for your wash day routine!  A great tip to remember about conditioning your hair, conditioners are for your hair only – not your scalp.  Applying too many products to the scalp can lead to overproduction of sebum and promote flaky scalp. Apply from ends to roots and allow the product to “swell” the hair for at least two minutes before using a comb or your fingers to detangle.  Rinse out and proceed to style as normal.  AS ALWAYS – don’t forget to always follow up with a leave in conditioner.

Texturizing Leave in Balm

  • This is the hugest benefit in our opinion because having a reliable leave in is a must! This product can be used, diluted in a water bottle, for the LOC method as you prepare your hair for a protective style or as an overall leave in protectant prior to normal heat styling.  Mane Strategy recommends that as this product has a blend of carrier oils that are meant to travel within the hair shaft and not sit on top of the hair, if the product is used in any of the methods listed above, make sure to chose an alternate product as your leave in or if you choose to follow up as a leave in, use sparingly.
